We are among the Amhara Ethiopians living in the UK.
(Here in after called the Amhara Task Force UK).

Our main purpose-

The Amhara Task Force UK (ATF) was formed by Amhara people in the UK these are drawn among indivuduals, Moresh wogene UK branch and Amhara UK group, in March 2022 in a community meeting.

As an urgent response & action force group tasked with a specific mission to denounce, condemn, expose stop Amhara people’s atrocities, genocide & illegal internal mass displacement all over Ethiopia.

The state sponsored atrocities and genocide has been prolonged since the present ethno-fascist system was controlled power illegitimately in 1991.
Especially, in the last two years the regime increasing his grave human rights violations and declared all out war against Amhara people and continues his atrocities & genocide.

The Amhara task force UK as Amhara people’s voice and human rights advocate group, has performed the following activities;-

1) On 12 May 2022 we have organized & staged a protest outsude Amnesty International UK to tell Amnesty that the false information it has held and reported about Amhara lands Wolkayit and Raya as they belongs to Tigray province, was false;

and the infornation that Amhara Fano and the region's security forces are committed atrocities and rape against Tigreans was not a true but it is false information, so Amnesty should investigate all the false report & correct it’s past report with new true fact.

2) We continued our protest On 16 June 2022 opposite our Ethiopian Embassy in London denounce the regime's genocide and sent a strong message to the regime in Ethiopia to stop sponsoring Amhara Ethiopians atrocities and genocide.

3) From July 20 – 3 August 2022 the Amhara Task Force organized and successfully staged hunger strike infront of 10 Downing street ( the British Prime minster residence).

As hunger strike is one form and part of the peaceful expression of our anger against the regime’s genocide we send a strong message to the UK government as well as to the international community to intervene and stop it.

The volunteers directly took part in the hunger strike are;- Yayesh yirad Gesesse, Yodit Gedeon
and Abraham Yemane.
During the hunger strike since 20 July 2022 for two weeks, the Amhara Task force members and other Amhara individuals provided all round 24/7 support to the volunteers with all their needs.

On 3 August 2022 after the end of the two weeks hunger strike the Task force successfully held another protest at 10 Downing street and we have submitted a petition to the British Parliament via the House of Commons public enquiry desk and awaiting the Parliament's response.
